Is my PDF or signature uploaded anywhere?

No. Everything happens in your browser tab. The PDF and your signature are never sent to a server, so there is nothing for us to store or delete.

Is this a legally binding digital signature?

It adds a visible signature to the page, like signing a printout. It is not a certificate-based digital signature: it doesn't prove who signed or lock the document against changes. Whether a visible signature is accepted depends on the document and your country, so check with whoever asked you to sign.

Can I sign with a photo of my handwritten signature?

Yes. Sign on white paper, photograph or scan it, and upload the picture. The paper is removed so only the ink is placed on the PDF, and you can adjust how much pen detail is kept.

Can I put the same signature on every page?

Yes. Use 'Place on every page', and the signature goes in the same spot on each page, adjusted for pages of different sizes. You can still move any copy individually.

Can I add the date, my name or a note?

Yes. Add today's date with one tap, or type any text, then drag it into place and choose its size and colour. Text supports plain letters, numbers and common accented letters.

Does it work on a phone?

Yes. You can draw your signature with a finger and drag or resize it by touch.

Why can't I sign my password-protected PDF?

The file has to be opened before it can be changed. Remove the password with Unlock PDF first, then sign it.
