Resize Image — frequently asked questions

Will my picture be stretched?
Not unless you choose 'Stretch'. By width, height, percent and 'fit in a box' always keep proportions. For exact sizes you choose: fill and crop, fit inside with padding, or stretch.
Can I make a picture bigger?
Only if you allow it — by default pictures already smaller than your size are left alone, because enlarging makes them blurry.
What do the ready-made sizes do?
They set the exact pixel size for places like Instagram posts, Stories, YouTube thumbnails and LinkedIn banners, filling the shape and trimming the edges so nothing is distorted.
Can I resize many pictures at once?
Yes — add them all. Each is resized on its own and you download a ZIP.
Why is a large reduction still sharp?
Big reductions are done in gentle steps rather than one jump, which keeps edges smooth.
