PDF to Excel — frequently asked questions

Does this export a native .xlsx spreadsheet file?
Not yet — the current version extracts tables into a Markdown file with clean, formatted tables, which pastes directly into Excel or Google Sheets as real cells. Native .xlsx export is on the roadmap.
Does this work on any PDF, or only ones with clear tables?
It works best on PDFs with genuine tabular structure — tables with visible or implied grid lines. Free-form text without a table layout won't convert into meaningful rows and columns.
Does this work on scanned PDFs?
Yes — the extraction engine handles scanned, image-only pages as well as PDFs with real text.
