Document fields like title, author and keywords are optional — many PDFs, especially scans and quick exports, never had them filled in.

What do the page sizes mean?

Pages are grouped by how they look on screen — for example 'A4 portrait × 12'. Standard sizes (A4, Letter, Legal and others) are named; anything else is shown in millimetres. A file with several groups has mixed page sizes.

Is the modified date reliable?

Treat it as a hint. Software often updates it whenever a file is re-saved, even if the content didn't change.

What does 'Under the hood' show?

The fonts used and whether each one is embedded (a font that isn't embedded can look different on another device), a summary of the images inside, any JavaScript or launch actions the file carries, plus its language tag and page labels. Nothing in the file is ever run — it is only read.

Can I check the info of a password-protected PDF?

Not directly — unlock it first with Unlock PDF (you'll need the password), then check its info.
