Extract Images from PDF — frequently asked questions
- Will this extract images at their original quality?
- Yes — images are extracted at the resolution they were embedded at in the source PDF, not resampled or recompressed.
- What if the PDF has no embedded images, just vector graphics or text?
- Vector graphics (like charts drawn directly in the PDF) aren't extracted as image files this way, since they aren't stored as images — only raster images (photos, scanned content) are.
