Extract Images from PDF — frequently asked questions

Will this extract images at their original quality?
Yes — images are extracted at the resolution they were embedded at in the source PDF, not resampled or recompressed.
What if the PDF has no embedded images, just vector graphics or text?
Vector graphics (like charts drawn directly in the PDF) aren't extracted as image files this way, since they aren't stored as images — only raster images (photos, scanned content) are.
