Why are there so few images — or why does it say none were found?

Only pictures embedded in the PDF are extracted. If the pages are scans, each whole page is one picture; if the content is drawn shapes or charts, those are vector graphics, not pictures. To capture whole pages as images, use PDF to JPG.

What does 'Ignore images smaller than' do?
