Why width only — can't I set an exact width and height for every image?

Images in a batch usually have different original aspect ratios — forcing all of them to one exact width AND height would stretch or squash most of them. Setting a target width and letting each image's height follow its own proportions keeps every result looking correct.

What happens if one image in the batch fails?

The rest of the batch still processes normally — you'll get a clear list of which files couldn't be processed alongside the successful results.

Is there a limit to how many images I can resize at once?
